The Days Before the Flood, Duh!!!

by Joel Sanchez of Crucified Life Ministries (www.crucifiedlifemin.com)

I just wanted to take time to pen something here. I read articles and commentaries and this person has this answer and that person has another answer. This is one is quoting we have to go back to the Constitution (which in my opinion after the Patriot Act I & II nullified the Constitution). We have to do this or do that. All of these have to's are good counsel but in my opinion don't deal with the root. The powers to be running the country would have us fighting over this issue and that issue for example Rep. vs. Dem. or liberal vs conservative or pro life vs. pro choice or Baptists vs Pentecostals and so forth and so on. The enemy is very sly in his end game and many players in this game haven't opened the blinds and looked out the window to see what he is doing because we are so busy fighting over the examples that I listed above.

It's like a tree. If you want to kill a tree you go to the root. You don't go and cut off every limb in hopes that it will kill the tree. No, you go directly to the root. So when we only focus on the Constitution, Pres. Barry, Repubs. or Dems. and Christians vs Catholics and so forth and so on, we are cutting off the limbs and the roots are still there supplying the rest of the tree. So what does Scripture teach us is the issue at hand or how can we lay the ax to the root of this tree and get away from just cutting the branches off only to have them come back a little bit later? It's simple. The answer can be found IN THE BEGINNING...

Math 24:38 for as they were in the DAYS BEFORE THE FLOOD...

Everyone always focuses on the flood and the catastrophic event that happened. Many end time ministries focus on this and make charts and map everything out the way they see it is going to go down. Have we missed something in this story about the flood? Almost nobody seems to focus on the warning which is the CONDITION OF MAN before the flood. Plain and simple but it goes back before the flood. In Gen 4:26 it says then is was begun to call on the Name of YHVH.

It's an injustice how the translators rendered this verse in English. So let's look at the Hebrew to understand more clearly. The Hebrew word there for "begun" is kah lawl which means to profane or pollute. The idea behind this word is to weaken or take the strength away from something. It's like strong coffee, if we want it to be weaker we can take away some of the grains or we can add more water to it to make it weaker. This is the picture of what profaning or polluting means.

The Hebrew word for "Name" is shem which means authority and character.

Basically men added to and took away from the authority and character of YHVH. How do we add to or take away from the authority or character of the Creator? It's simple, by not obeying His commands and teaching others that we no longer have to obey them. We have had over 1,700 years of ‘church Fathers' sowing tares amongst the wheat putting forth their agendas but thanks to our Creator that He knew all of this would happen. He knew there would be those who would teach others to disobey His Word so He has made plans to bring about a restoration of His people to His Word in the end of days.

Now back to the story of men adding to and taking away from Yahweh's authority and character. This sounds like exactly what is happening today. Isa 46:10 tells us that the end is declared out of the beginning so it isn't a coincidence that the condition of the world today is the same as it was in the days of Noah before the flood. Lawlessness; men doing whatever they feel is right in their own eyes unfortunately this is just as rampant inside Christianity as well as the world. Please don't get mad at that last statement. It is the truth.

We are reaping what has been sown from the pulpits for the last 1700 years. We have preached (I at one time also, so I am to blame for this also but have repented for this now) that the Older Test. has been down away with and doesn't apply to ‘new covenant believers today'. So again we are reaping what we have sown. Just stop and think logically about that last statement. If our nation is a reflection of the ‘Christian Church', which I believe it is, then what are we seeing? Is there any correlation between the past several administrations taking away from and adding to (profaning by making it weaker) the Constitution (the document that governs our country), to ‘believers' adding to and taking away from the Word of YHVH. I submit we are seeing exactly the same thing. Remember when judgment came to Israel (the people of God) it was always was because they were disobeying His Word by adding to it and taking away from it. He would send the enemies of Israel to defeat them and take them off into captivity. I don't have time or space to go into it, but Islam is taking over our country. Foreign businessmen and international bankers are buying up businesses and taking making us slaves to them. Interestingly enough this comes directly from Lev 26.

Lev 26:1-13 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God. Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD. If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land. And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. And five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you. And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new. And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you. And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people. I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.

Are we seeing these verses in our land? If not, why? Let's take a look at the rest of this chapter to see what happens when we DON'T OBEY through preaching that His Torah has been done away with.

Lev 26:14-42 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you. And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass: And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits. And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins. I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate. And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me; Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins. And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied. And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat. And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcasses upon the carcasses of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you. And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savor of your sweet odors. And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it. And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste. Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths. As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it. And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth. And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies. And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up. And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them. If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me; And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

Folks it's all right there in Lev 26. You decide after reading that, which end of the stick we are on; the blessing side for obeying or the cursed side through disobedience. It is very clear that the cursed side is being fulfilled today right in front of us.

Now back to the days before the flood.

Gen 6:11-12 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

"Corrupt" is the Hebrew word shaw kath which means decay and you will find this word being used many times to describe God's people turning away or breaking His commandments (Ex 32:7-8) (by adding to or taking away from). So in my opinion the Constitution was set up based on Torah (All of God's Word) and it is interesting that many 'believers' say that Torah has been done away with but out of the other side of their mouth quote the Constitution also. Double speak and I see it as lip service and not heart service to our Creator. Whitewashed tombs on the outside but inside full of dead men's bones.

So until we turn from our wicked ways (see the article for the Biblical definition of wicked and not our Westernized definition) our land cannot and will not be healed according to 2 Chron 7:14. The answer is and has always been returning (repenting according to 1 Jn 3:4) to ALL the Word of the Creator of the Universe. So remember our obedience to Torah determines if we are greatest or the least in the Kingdom.

Mat 5:17-19 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill (Greek word meaning to give full meaning to or fill up with meaning). For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Shalom in Messiah
